Ingredients
2 cups fresh rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
1 teaspoon fennel seeds, lightly crushed
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
Directions
In a medium saucepan, combine rhubarb with 1/2 cup water and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Lower heat to maintain a fast simmer, cover, and cook until rhubarb is fully softened and beginning to break down, about 4 minutes.
