Ingredients
1 pound fresh morel mushrooms, cleaned and halved lengthwise
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. In a shallow bowl, mix together salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. In another shallow bowl, mix together milk and eggs. Place flour in a third shallow bowl. Dip each mushroom half into the seasoned flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally back into the seasoned flour to coat evenly. Fry mushrooms in hot oil until golden brown on both sides, about 3 minutes per side. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels before serving warm with your favorite dipping sauce or condiment of choice!.
