Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups beef broth
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons dry sherry
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until softened and lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Stir in sugar and salt; cook for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sherry, if using. In a large bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, Swiss cheese, cream cheese, and beef broth; mix until well blended. Fold in onion mixture until combined. Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top. Serve hot with crackers or chips for dipping. Enjoy!.
