French Onion Soup Cheese Dip
All that makes French onion soup delicious, minus the stock plus a lot more cheese.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups beef broth
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until softened and lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Stir in sugar and salt; cook for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sherry, if using.
- In a large bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, Swiss cheese, cream cheese, and beef broth; mix until well blended. Fold in onion mixture until combined.
- Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top. Serve hot with crackers or chips for dipping. Enjoy!
