Ingredients

1 lb. sushi-grade salmon, cut into cubes

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons sesame oil

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

3 green onions, thinly sliced

1/4 cup macadamia nuts, roughly chopped

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 large shallots, thinly sliced

Directions

Heat vegetable oil and macadamia nuts in a small skillet over medium heat. Cook, tossing and stirring frequently, until nuts are golden brown on most surfaces, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl.
