1 block of extra firm tofu, drained and pressed

2 tablespoons of sesame oil

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

2 tablespoons of rice vinegar

1 tablespoon of honey

1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 teaspoon of grated ginger


Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the sesame oil. Once the oil is hot, add the ginger and garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the tofu to the pan and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and black pepper until combined. Pour the mixture over the tofu in the skillet and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid has been absorbed by the tofu. Serve warm with your favorite sides or as part of a stir fry!.
