Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, plus more for greasing the pan
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs, at room temperature
2 cups granulated sugar
1 15 ounce can pumpkin puree
For the Salted Brown Butter Glaze:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
2 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted if lumpy
3 to 4 tablespoons milk or cream
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Directions
Grease an 8 1/2- by 4 1/2-inch loaf pan and line with a 7- by 13-inch sheet of parchment paper so that parchment hangs over the long sides of the pan to form a sling. Adjust oven rack to lower-middle position and preheat to 350 degrees F .
