3/4 cup mayonnaise

3/4 cup sour cream

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed

1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon dried chives

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/16 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 - 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon finely cracked pepper

freshly squeezed lemon juice


Whisk together the mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth. Add the spices and whisk to combine thoroughly. Add the lemon juice, taste and adjust as needed. Chill until ready to serve. The heat will increase a little bit overnight, so keep that in mind if you are making this ahead of time.

If you have ranch dip in the refrigerator and you have taco seasoning in the pantry, you can stir together 1 cup of the ranch dip with 1-2 tablespoons of the Mexican spices. Adjust the heat according to taste!.
