Ingredients
- 1 bunch broccoli, about 1 pounds, cut into bite sized flowerets
- 3 T extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup fresh garlic cloves
- Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat your oven to 450F/230C.
- Trim the garlic cloves, then cut them in half, or into thirds if they are on the large side.
- Cut the broccoli into bite sized pieces.
- In a bowl, toss the broccoli with the olive oil, garlic, salt, and fresh-ground black pepper. Spread the broccoli and garlic across a baking sheet, doing your best to keep everything in a single layer.
- Roast until the broccoli turns bright green and the edges begin to take on a little color, about 20 minutes. Keep an eye on the garlic, because if it browns too much, it will taste bitter.
- Serve hot.
