style: styled on interview

November 29th, 2010

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Chad and I are back from Texas (where it was nearly eighty degrees on the day before Thanksgiving, which was pretty amazing), and I’m ready to eat nothing but salads and sushi for about a month to undo some of the damage from the last few days!

We had an awesome time — I even carved the Thanksgiving turkey!  It came out of the oven and no one had any idea what to do with it, so I pulled up a YouTube video and went to town — turns out it’s basically the same as carving a roasted chicken, but I was pretty proud of myself.  Chad grabbed my camera as I was doing it, so it’s fully documented for you guys.

Last but not least, check out my interview on StyledOn!  It’s a little bit about me and how I learned to cook, and my favorite recipe for holiday petit fours, which are easier than they sound.  Go check it out!

Today’s post is great.  Can’t wait to try your petit-fours.  May I ask if the recipe for the chocolate coating sets up?  Meaning, when it is cooled is it hard or sticky?

They turn hard after being chilled in the refridgerator, and should stay hard at room temperature for serving!

Those petit fours look delicious.  Great interview too.  BLT Burger and the various Jean Georges Restaurants are among some of my favorite restaurants too!
