Thai Basil Beef Noodle Stir-Fry
A fast beef and noodle stir-fry with vegetables, Thai basil, and a glossy sauce for a hearty dinner with bright, savory flavor.

Ingredients
- Salt
- Garlic
- Egg
- Pepper
- Bell pepper
- Onion
- Garnish
- Mushrooms
Directions
- In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk the sauce ingredients until smooth and fully mixed. Prepare the noodles as directed on the package, cooking them just to al dente. Drain them and leave them aside for later. If they will sit for a few minutes before going into the stir-fry, toss them with a small drizzle of oil so they do not clump.
- Warm 1 tablespoon oil in a large sauté pan or wok set over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the steak generously with salt and pepper, then add it to the hot oil. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring now and then rather than constantly, until the pieces are browned all over. Move the steak to a clean plate and put the pan back on the heat.
- Pour the remaining 1 tablespoon oil into the pan and add the onion. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the mushrooms, bell pepper, and garlic, then continue cooking for 3-5 more minutes, until the vegetables are as tender as you like them.
- Right away, add the cooked noodles, sauce, steak, and Thai basil to the pan. Toss everything together until the sauce coats it evenly, then take the pan off the heat.
- Serve immediately, finished with whichever toppings you like.
