Ingredients
- 24 mini pretzels
- 24 Rolo candies
- 24 pecan halves
- 1/2 cup melted chocolate chips
Directions
- Remove the wrappers from the caramels, then flatten each one with a rolling pin into an oval about 1/8-inch thick. Fold a piece of caramel around each pretzel nugget, pinching the edges together to close it.
- Cut the chocolate bars into rough pieces and put them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, stir, then heat for another 30 seconds and stir again. It should be smooth and melted; if it needs more time, continue microwaving in 15 second bursts until it melts. Flavored chocolate bars may leave little bits mixed through the chocolate.
- Put the chopped nuts into a shallow bowl. Cover a baking sheet, cooling rack or cutting board with parchment paper. Drop a caramel-wrapped pretzel nugget into the chocolate and turn it until coated. Move it to the nuts, then use a small fork or spoon to help cover it. Set it on the parchment paper, and continue the same way with the rest of the pretzels. Leave them until the coating is firm, about 3 hours.
