Prep 10 min · Cook 3 hr 40 min · Total 3 hr 50 min · Makes 1 loaf (about 12 slices)

Ingredients
- 2 cups White Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 cup ground rolled oats
- 1/3 cup wheat bran
- 2 T flaxseed meal
- 2 T vital wheat gluten
- 1 T dough enhancer
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 cup lukewarm water
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 T agave nectar
- 2 tsp. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. yeast
Directions
- Use the method recommended for your bread machine. For an Oster Bread Machine, add the liquids first, then spoon in the dry ingredients after they have been combined in a bowl.
- Make a little hollow in the flour and add the yeast there. Choose the whole wheat setting on the machine.
- Check the dough during the first mixing cycle. If it is not coming together into a ball, add a little flour or water as needed, 1 tablespoon at a time. You want a firm ball of dough that feels just a bit sticky.
- If you want a smoother-looking loaf, remove the dough from the machine just before the final rise and tuck the sides gently underneath. Skipping this will still give you good bread, but the top may bake up less even.
- In this bread machine, the whole wheat cycle runs for 3 hours 40 minutes. The bread is good warm or cooled, and it also makes excellent toast.
