Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • Sugar
  • Granulated sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Baking soda
  • Egg
  • Flour
  • Chocolate chips
  • Vanilla

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In the bowl of a large stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium-high speed until the mixture looks pale and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the eggs and vanilla, then mix on medium-speed until everything is incorporated.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt together until evenly mixed. Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture a little at a time, beating on medium-low speed just until the dough comes together. Stir in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed. Cover the dough and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes. Or, if you prefer, shape the dough first and chill the dough balls on the cookie sheet for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Shape the dough into 1.5-tablespoon balls, then arrange them on the parchment-lined baking sheet with at least 3 inches of space between each one. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the cookies are baked through. Take them out of the oven and leave them on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then move them to wire racks to finish cooling.
