Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp salted butter, diced into 1-Tbsp pieces
- 1 bag mini marshmallows
- Green gel food coloring
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- White decorating icing
- 16 miniature Reeses peanut butter cups, unwrapped
- Round red sprinkles
- 16 star sprinkles or yellow mini M&Ms
Directions
- Warm the butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat until melted. Stir in the marshmallows and keep stirring as they melt, adding green food coloring until the mixture is the shade you like.
- Take the pan off the heat, add the Rice Krispies cereal, and fold everything together until the cereal is coated all over. Set the mixture aside to cool for about 5 minutes.
- Coat your hands with non-stick cooking spray, then scoop about 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup of the cereal mixture and press it into a cone shape, packing it well so it stays put.
- Use the icing as your glue to attach the sprinkles to the trees. Add icing to the Reeses, then set one beneath each tree as the base.
- If you would like the icing to set firm, leave the treats out overnight. Otherwise, they are ready to eat right away.
