Ingredients
- 3/4 lb. fresh salmon
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/8 tsp toasted sesame oil
Directions
- Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Peel about 1 inch of ginger, then grate it. Mince the garlic clove. Add both to a bowl with the brown sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil, then stir until the sugar has melted in and the mixture turns thick and tacky.
- Slice the salmon into 3 ounce pieces, more or less is fine. Line a baking sheet with foil to make cleanup easier. If the skin is still on the salmon, skip the non-stick spray. If the fish is skinless, coat the foil with non-stick spray so the salmon releases cleanly.
- Spread the brown sugar and ginger mixture over the salmon, keeping as much of it on the top as you can. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the topping has turned golden brown. Serve right away.
