Ingredients
- Cucumbers, as many as desired
- Hummus
- Black or white sesame seeds
Directions
- Peel the cucumbers, leaving some green stripes behind if the skin is thin, or removing the peel completely if the skin is thick and waxy.
- Cut the cucumber or cucumbers crosswise into sturdy rounds, about 3/4 – 1 inch thick. If they look especially wet, press the cut sides with a paper towel to soak up extra moisture and give the hummus a drier surface to sit on.
- Spoon the hummus into a small heavy plastic bag. About 1/2 cup hummus will cover 14 appetizers, and you can add more to the bag as you go if you need it. Snip a corner from the bag, being careful to start with a small opening.
- Set the cucumber rounds on a plate or serving tray, then pipe a little mound of hummus onto each piece. Scatter sesame seeds over the tops right before serving.
