Ingredients
- 1 lb hamburger meat
- 2 heaping tablespoons of chopped fresh rosemary leaves, not the stem
- 2 Tbsp A1 sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Buns
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes, sliced
- Onions, sliced
- Avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced
- Mayonaise, ketchup, mustard
Directions
- Combine the hamburger meat with the rosemary and A1 sauce, mixing until the seasonings are spread throughout. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper, then shape the mixture into patties. If you are using lower-fat meat, you can work in a little olive oil, or brush oil over the formed patties before they go on the heat.
- Set the patties on a hot grill or grill pan. When cooking inside on a grill pan, turn on the stove fan; if you are using a grill pan, reduce the heat to medium high. Cook the first side until juices start appearing on top, then turn the patties and cook the second side until juices show there too.
- Toast the buns on any open space on the grill, if you like. The onions may be served raw on the burgers, or cooked briefly in olive oil.
- Serve the burgers with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avocado, mayo, ketchup, and or mustard. For a low-carb version, leave off the bun.
