Ingredients
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pound mustard greens, washed and torn into large pieces
- 2 to 3 tablespoons chicken broth or vegetable broth, vegetarian option
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dark sesame oil
Directions
- Warm the olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat, then add the onions. Cook, stirring as needed, until they soften, deepen in color, and start to caramelize, about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute, just until it smells fragrant. Add the mustard greens and broth, then cook until the greens have only just wilted. Drizzle with the sesame oil, toss everything together, and finish with salt and pepper.
