Nooch Popcorn

Ingredients

  • Salt
  • Corn kernels

Directions

  1. Put the nutritional yeast and salt into a large food storage container that has a lid, then leave it nearby. Warm the oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, and drop in 3-4 separate kernels.
  2. When those test kernels pop, pour in the remaining kernels, spreading them across the bottom of the pan in one layer. Cover the saucepan, then shake it to coat the kernels with oil.
  3. As the corn begins to pop, shake the pan well every 15 seconds or so, which helps the unpopped kernels settle back against the heat and keeps the popcorn from scorching. When the popping tapers off and you hear a few seconds of quiet between pops, move the popcorn right away into the prepared food storage container.
  4. Cover the container with its lid and shake it well for 10 seconds, until the popcorn is coated. Serve it warm and enjoy.
