Spicy Chipotle-Lime Hummus
A creamy chickpea dip blended with lime, chipotle, cumin, and tahini for a smoky, zippy bowl made for scooping.
Prep 10 min · Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients
- 1 can chick peas, drained and liquid reserved
- 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp tahini
- 1 Tbsp adobo sauce from a can of chipotle chilies in adobo
- 1 – 2 cloves garlic, quartered
- 1 Tbsp minced chipotle chilies in adobo
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt, or to taste
- 1 Tbsp chopped cilantro, for garnish
Directions
- Put 3 Tbsp of the liquid from the chick pea can into a Twister jar, followed by the lime juice, olive oil, tahini, adobo sauce, and garlic. Add the chick peas on top, then the chipotle chilies, cumin, coriander, paprika, and salt. Set the Twister lid in place, the one with paddles, and blend on the Dips Cycle or at medium speed, turning the lid counterclockwise as it runs. If the hummus needs help smoothing out, drizzle in another 1 Tbsp of the reserved liquid and keep blending until it is silky.
- Spoon the hummus onto a plate and, if you like, finish it with extra olive oil, adobo sauce, and chipotle chilies. Scatter the cilantro over the top. Serve with pita chips, tortilla chips, or vegetables.
- Keep it in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
