Ingredients
- 1 recipe Classic Sage and Sausage Stuffing
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 recipe Best Turkey Gravy
- Maple syrup, for serving
Directions
- Make the Classic Sage and Sausage Stuffing, stopping once you finish step 3. After you take the bread out in step 1, skip raising the oven temperature and simply shut the oven off.
- Heat a Belgian waffle iron as directed by its manufacturer, then coat it with nonstick cooking spray.
- Spoon 1/5 of the stuffing mixture over the waffle iron surface. Let it cook for about 10 minutes total, until both sides are crisp.
- Move the waffle to a serving platter and serve it with hot gravy and maple syrup, or slide it into a 200 degrees F (93 degrees C) oven to stay hot while you make the remaining batches with the rest of the stuffing mixture.
