Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 pkg miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix, unprepared
- 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
- 1 Recipe Sugar Cookie Frosting, recipe follows
- Sprinkles, optional
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 Tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Pinch salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- Food coloring, optional
Directions
Coat a 9 x 13 dish with butter and set it aside. Use a large nonstick saucepan to melt the butter over medium low heat, then mix in the salt. Add the marshmallows and keep stirring until they have fully melted. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the Sugar Cookie Mix. Fold in the Rice Krispies Cereal, mixing until the cereal is evenly covered. Transfer the mixture to the buttered dish. With a buttered spatula, press and spread it evenly into the pan. Let it cool just a bit, about 2 minutes, then slice it into 12 squares. Cup your hands around each square and gently press the corners to round the edges; you can flatten them slightly too, though you do not need to. Frost each "cookie" with Sugar Cookie Frosting, add sprinkles if you are using them, and store in an airtight container.
