The Last Word Mocktail

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves
• 1/4 cup packed fresh mint leaves
• 1 1/2 oz Seedlip Garden 108
• 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
• 1/2 oz tart cherry juice
• 1/2 oz mint-basil syrup
• 1 tsp maraschino cherry syrup from the jar
• 1 cup ice, for shaking
• 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

Directions

1. Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then take the pan off the heat. Add the basil and mint, cover, and let the syrup steep for about fifteen minutes. Strain and chill before using.
2. Add the Seedlip Garden 108, lime juice, tart cherry juice, mint-basil syrup, and maraschino cherry syrup to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.
3. Strain into a chilled coupe or small cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and serve right away.
