Irish Coffee Mocktail
A cozy coffee mocktail with brown sugar, roasted barley depth, and a soft cap of lightly whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup freshly brewed hot coffee
- 2 tablespoons hot roasted barley tea
- 2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
- 1 pinch fine sea salt
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- Ground nutmeg, for garnish
Directions
- Brew the coffee and roasted barley tea so both are hot. Warm a sturdy mug or heatproof glass with hot water, then pour the water out.
- In a small bowl, whisk the heavy cream with the maple syrup until it is thickened but still soft and pourable.
- Add the brown sugar and salt to the warm mug. Pour in the hot coffee and barley tea, then stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Hold a spoon over the coffee with the back facing up, then slowly pour the cream over the spoon so it floats on top. Finish with a light dusting of nutmeg and serve right away.
