Ingredients
- Sugar
- Water
Directions
- Stir the warm water, sugar and salt together in a large bowl. Scatter the yeast across the surface, then leave it alone for 5 minutes, until it looks bubbly and foamy.
- Add the flour and stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture comes together as dough. Move it to a lightly floured work surface and knead for 5 minutes, until the dough becomes smooth and stretchy. Set it in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise somewhere warm for 1 hour, or until it has doubled.
- Heat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Press the dough down, then transfer it to a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 2 equal portions and roll each one into a 12 inch circle. Arrange the rounds on greased baking sheets or pizza pans. Add the toppings you want, then bake for 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
