Ingredients
- 1 rack of pork ribs
- 2 tablespoons Chinese five spice powder
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
Directions
- Heat the oven to 350ºF (180ºC).
- Work the salt over the ribs, then place them in a Dutch oven or a large casserole with a lid. Add everything else to the pot and stir it all together so the ribs are surrounded by the sauce.
- Cover the pot and bake for 2 hours. During that time, flip the ribs two or three times so the sauce has a chance to coat them evenly.
- Once the ribs are tender and cooked through, take off the lid and put the pot back in the oven. Continue cooking until the sauce has reduced as much as you like, turning the ribs once or twice while it thickens. The sauce should tighten up in less than 25 minutes.
