Easy Oven-Baked Barbecue Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce

Directions

  1. Heat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and barbecue sauce until you have one glossy, seasoned sauce. Keep it handy.
  3. Set the ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet. Paint them well with the sauce mixture, then tuck another sheet of foil over the top. Slide the pan into the hot oven and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  4. Take the pan out of the oven, and if you want them saucier, add another brushing of the sauce mixture. Put the ribs back in the oven without the top foil and bake for 15 minutes more, until the meat is tender and cooked through. Bring them to the table warm, with the extra sauce mixture alongside.
