Honey Balsamic Chicken Tenders
Chicken strips get a garlicky balsamic marinade, then a honey-butter pan sauce for a fast skillet dinner with glossy flavor.

Ingredients
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Butter
- Garlic
- Pepper
- Honey
- Balsamic vinegar
- Chicken breasts
- Chicken breast
- Chicken
- Cooked chicken
Directions
- Cut each chicken breast on the diagonal into 6 strips. Add the chicken to a quart sized zip top bag with 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 1 clove garlic, minced, 1 Tbsp olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Work everything around in the bag to combine, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- When it’s time to cook, warm the 2nd tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken strips and cook until they’re browned on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. You may need to cook them in 2 batches. Transfer the cooked chicken to a clean plate.
- Lower the skillet heat to medium-low, then add the butter and the last 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar. Stir with a spoon, scraping up the browned, sticky bits from the bottom of the pan as they loosen into the mixture. When everything has come together, stir in the honey, turn the heat up, and let the sauce simmer until it thickens, about 5 minutes.
- After the sauce has thickened, add salt and pepper to taste, using a pinch of each if you like. Return the chicken to the skillet and turn it in the warm balsamic sauce until coated. Serve immediately.
