Ingredients
- 19 oz. ground turkey
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Freshly cracked pepper
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
Directions
- Place the ground turkey in a bowl, then add the sage, thyme, garlic powder, smoked paprika, maple syrup, salt, and a few grinds of pepper. Mix everything with your hands until the seasoning is worked evenly through the meat.
- Scoop the turkey mixture with a 1/4 cup measuring cup, then form it into patties. Once each 1/4 cup portion is measured, press the patty out very thin, because it will tighten up and thicken in the middle in the pan. Aim for patties about 3-inches wide.
- For the Maple Sage Breakfast Sausage, pour 1 Tbsp cooking oil into a skillet and warm it over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the patties, cooking in 2 batches if the skillet looks too full, and let them cook for 3-5 minutes per side, until the outside is browned and the centers are cooked through. Serve hot.
