Sweet and Spicy Glazed Pork Chops
Boneless pork chops get a brown sugar and cayenne rub, then sear into a glossy pan glaze for an easy skillet dinner.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cayenne powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 4 thick cut boneless pork chops
Directions
- Heat the oven to 350ºF. In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Take the pork chops out of the package, then coat every side of each chop with the seasoning mixture. The natural dampness on the pork will help the rub cling, which is exactly what you want.
- Warm the olive oil in a large skillet that can go in the oven, set over medium heat. Once the oil looks glossy and shimmery, lay in the pork chops. Cook them for about 5 minutes per side, until they are well browned.
- If the chops are more than 1-inch thick, move the skillet to the hot oven for another 5-10 minutes so they can finish cooking. Check with a meat thermometer to be sure the center has reached 145ºF. If they need more time, keep cooking.
- Just before serving, turn the chops through the thick sauce in the bottom of the skillet.
