Smoky Steak and Potatoes

Ingredients

  • Olive oil
  • Butter

Directions

  1. Stir the entire spice mixture together in a bowl. Warm a cast iron pan over medium heat, then add the olive oil and butter.
  2. Place the potatoes in the pan with their cut sides facing down. Dust them with the seasoning, reserving at least 2 teaspoons, and cook for 10 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden.
  3. Turn the potatoes over and continue cooking for 10-15 minutes, until they are tender. Transfer them to a plate.
  4. Increase the heat to medium high and pour in a little more oil. Add the steak and let it cook until browned on one side, then turn it over. Sprinkle in 2 teaspoons of the seasoning blend.
  5. Return the potatoes to the pan with the steak and stir everything together until the steak reaches your desired temperature. Take it off the heat and serve.
