Ingredients
- 1 can artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
Directions
- Heat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.
- In a small bowl, stir the bread crumbs with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Put the mixture aside for later.
- Set a medium saucepan over medium heat and melt the butter. Whisk in the flour until the mixture looks smooth, then cook it for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk and continue until the sauce thickens. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Arrange the artichoke hearts in the prepared baking dish. Spoon the white sauce over them, then scatter the bread crumb mixture on top. Bake for 25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.
