Ingredients
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Toppings of your choice
Directions
- Heat your oven to 425°F.
- Combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, olive oil, and warm water in a medium bowl, stirring until the mixture comes together.
- Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray or olive oil.
- Pat and spread the dough on the prepared sheet, shaping it into a thin round about 12 inches across.
- Bake it for 10 minutes, until the top and underside are pale golden.
- Take the crust out of the oven, then spoon pizza sauce over it, stopping 1/2 inch from the edge.
- Scatter mozzarella over the sauce, then add whatever toppings you’re using, such as mushrooms, peppers, or olives.
- Return the pizza to the oven for 10 minutes more, until the mozzarella is melted and bubbling and, if you used raw vegetables, the toppings are cooked through.
- Cut into wedges and serve while warm.
