Ingredients
- 1 pound broccoli rabe, washed and trimmed
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Directions
- Put the broccoli rabe in a large bowl, then add the salt and 1 tablespoon olive oil and toss until coated. Set it aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat a grill to medium. Transfer the broccoli rabe to a grill basket, then set the basket on the grill. Cook it until the stems still have a little snap but are tender, and the leaves are starting to blacken at the edges, about 3 1/2 minutes on each side.
- Whisk the lemon juice with the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil in a small bowl.
- Lift the broccoli rabe out of the grill basket and return it to the large bowl. Add the lemon vinaigrette and red pepper flakes, toss everything together, and bring it to the table right away.
