Hazelnut Mocha Coffee
Hot coffee with hazelnut sweetness and a soft cocoa cream cap, cozy enough for dessert but simple enough for an afternoon treat.

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup cold heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder, plus more for garnish
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
- Tiny pinch kosher salt
- 6 ounces hot brewed coffee or decaf coffee
- 1 1/2 tablespoons hazelnut syrup
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
Directions
- Add the cold heavy cream, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt to a small bowl. Whisk until the cream is thick and softly billowy, stopping before it turns stiff.
- Pour the hot coffee into a warm mug. Stir in the hazelnut syrup and maple syrup, then taste and adjust with a little more syrup if you want it sweeter.
- Spoon the cocoa cream over the coffee so it floats on top. Dust lightly with cocoa powder and serve right away.
