Ingredients
- Water
- Cold water
Directions
- Stir the ingredients for one marinade together in a small bowl until they are fully blended. Add the marinade and steak to a ziplock freezer bag, then turn and gently toss the bag so the steak is coated all over. Press the bag carefully to remove excess air, then close it tightly. Use 1/3 cup marinade for every 1 pound of steak.
- Place the steak pack in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes and up to 1 day.
- Move the steak pack straight to the freezer, where it can stay for up to 3 months. When you’re ready to cook it, put the steak pack in the refrigerator for 24 hours, or until fully thawed. For a quicker thaw, set the sealed steak pack in a bowl of cold water in the refrigerator until it is completely defrosted.
- When it’s time to cook, take the steak out of the marinade, throw away the leftover marinade, and set the steak on a plate at room temperature for 20 minutes so it cooks more evenly. Cook it any way you like.
