Asian Salmon Burgers
Savory salmon burgers with ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and hoisin get a crisp Panko coating and a quick oven finish.

Ingredients
- Garlic
- Egg
- Red onion
- Onion
- Sesame oil
- Ginger
Directions
- Beat the egg in a small bowl, then stir in the ginger, garlic, soy, hoisin, and sesame oil. In a larger bowl, add the salmon, red onion, and 1/4c Panko. Keep the rest of the Panko nearby in a shallow bowl.
- Pour the seasoned egg mixture into the salmon bowl and mix until everything comes together. Shape the salmon mixture into 4 burger patties, then gently press each one into the reserved Panko so it gets coated.
- Cover the burgers and tuck them into the refrigerator for at least 1 hour and up to 4 hours.
- Set the oven to 375 degrees. Place a non-stick fry pan on medium heat and warm the oil, then cook the burgers without crowding them: give the first side 2 minutes, flip, and cook the second side for 1 minute. Brush a small amount of hoisin over the tops.
- Finish them in the oven: bake the burgers for 3 minutes, or until they are cooked through. If you prefer medium rare salmon, bake them for 2 minutes instead. Serve with buns, lettuce, and tomato slices.
